    TRC signs agreement to roll out 5G services in Jordan

    As part of preparations to introduce 5G cellular technology services, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of Jordan signed an agreement with Jordan’s mobile telecom companies (Orange, Umniah) in the presence of Ahmed Hanandeh, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. A key pillar of Jordan’s infrastructure for information and communication technology (ICT) is 5G technology services, according to Hanandeh, who spoke at the signing ceremony. According to the recently announced Economic Modernization Vision, 5G technology services will serve as an invaluable part of the country’s infrastructure for information and communications technology (ICT).

    TRC signs agreement to roll out 5G services in JordanHe noted that 5G networks have proven to be a true driver for the development of businesses and services for all industries. This will increase economic sectors’ productivity over the next few years. In the next few years, 5G services will be crucial to the success of the digital transformation process. This is because they will provide a stable and secure infrastructure supported by artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, which will be crucial for the development and implementation of sustainable smart cities.
